Networking Madness
Popularity soars for Dorset Women in Business group
The successful ladies-only networking breakfast, Dorset Women in Business, has been inundated with requests from local women wishing to attend the exclusive sessions. Before the invites had even been distributed for the February meeting, 50 local ladies were eager to get their name on the attendee list just from word of mouth.
Emma James of tasty marketing, Lucy York of HSBC Bournemouth and Sarah Simpson from The Spare Desk all take part in organising the networking breakfasts which began less than a year ago. Due to popular demand, the organisers have decided to hold these sessions every other month.
Dorset Women in Business is a friendly and relaxed networking session with attendees from a variety of occupations and backgrounds. Attendees are treated to a delightful, healthy breakfast, an inspiring guest speaker and excellent networking opportunities. Dorset Women in Business also allows a couple of exhibitors to each event, whereby they can have a side stall to display their products or services.
Emma James, Director of tasty marketing, commented; “We didn’t realise a year ago when we started this venture how popular this networking session would be! Dorset Women in Business has certainly taken off as we have several enquiries daily regarding the meetings. We hold a raffle at each networking session in aid of various different charities. In February’s meeting, over £100 was raised for The Round Table Children’s Wish.
