Local builders reward school children
Blandford builders, CG Pitcher and Son, are running a competition for local school children to take part in. The ‘Spot the Van’ competition is being launched this week, and each quarter a winner will be announced. The winner will receive £500 worth of construction work for their school, as well as a prize for themselves.
To be in with a chance of winning, children of schooling age are being asked to look out for CG Pitcher and Son’s vans, each of which is named after a Dorset village. Once spotted, a child can tell CG Pitcher and Son where and when they saw the van via the company’s website.
Mark Pitcher, Director of CG Pitcher and Son, remarked; “The competition is a fun way for us to get more involved in our local community, as well as offering a great way to brighten up the school run!”
He added; “CG Pitcher and Son has worked with several local schools and nurseries across Dorset and knows how much £500 worth of construction work would mean to them.”
The competition is open to children of all ages across Dorset in youth clubs, schools, charities, groups, and Scouts. To take part, all you have to do is look out for one of CG Pitcher and Son’s vans, note the name, location and time, and log on to CG Pitcher’s new website www.pitcher-construction.com to submit your entry. A lucky winner will be drawn every three months throughout 2010.
